Clamp value modifier not clamping the Maximum

Hi,
I had strange behaviour with the clamp value modifier.
I have exposed a x rotation of a 3d group
I want to limit the rotatation between 0 and 5.
I have put a clamp value modifier on the link.
the minimal clamp works fine, it doesnt go below 0.
the maximum clamp does nothing. it goes past 5.

I have tried this in smode studio 8.63 and station 9.0.6

I hope I am just doeing something wrong

Hello!
that's because you need to write the min and max values in radians instead of degrees.

for example: if you want to clamp to 90°, your max value must be equals to 1.5708.

I advise you to use percentage parameter with function link modifier in order to set a minimum and maximum value more conveniently

maybe it is a good idea to have some tooltips at some point about this?

The best would be to expose your parameter as a percentage :

Right click on the rotation parameter ans expose as percentage
Now you have an exposed value in % (easy to learn to a midi console fader)
just clamp your values in the function editor while selecting your exposed parameter (here) :

This method is far easier to clamp any values, furthermore you can add any other values to the same exposed % parameter :

basically you are proposing to always use a percent value (unless its better not to)
this would be a better consistency in numbers?
