Compo not holding background setting

I am using version 8.6.8 and when i create a new project. Then Create a new compo so that i have both the project open in a tab and the compo in a tab. If i set the compo to have a black background in the viewport instead of a transparent one then I click over to the project tab, once i go back the compo has been set to transparent again. This seems to happen almost everytime.

Indeed it's a little problem we have due to the interface's update from one tab to another

Edit: Note that you can disable the alpha channel of your compo by uncheking this parameter:
