Hello,
I like the way you can use Grid Point and 3D Transform to move the grid points around.
Is there a way to achieve a similar process with a cylinder or fbx file? I can only find a way to do 2d sprites, boxes or spheres. I would like a 6-sided cylinder or use a 3d file as the source for each point or sprite.
I tried to use a fbx file and repeaters. But, 3d transform does weird things to geometry. It doesn't move each instance of the 3d file - it grab every vertex point or something. I want to be able to move the position of each copy, not smash the vertexes of the geometry around.
My end goal is to make a wall made of hexagons and be able to move mask for 3d Transform around to make the hexagons slide forward or use random to make the whole wall undulate.
I can do this in After Effects or Cinema4d.
