Hello everybody,
simple question, we are currently building a workstation we need for another software but we went curious to know if it would work also for smode, the workstation will have 2 radeon wx7100, would smode like these cards? and in case there would be any problem in using a multi-gpu configuration?

Hello Fabio,

We ship our current stations with one WX9100 card for the video outputs and one WX2100 or WX5100 one for the windows desktop. We used to do some servers with WX7100 cards also that was working fine (biggest problems coming from AMD drivers when setting up the EDIDs, but once this done, everything works perfectly well with Smode).
Smode is not multi-gpu ready, meaning that when you launch it for the first time, you have to select on which card it's running. In your scenario, that should not be a problem: the first card would be used for Windows and the second one for the actual outputs. So: yes Smode should be able to work on this workstation.
Other things to take care of are: SSD drivers, video capture card -- DeltaCast recommanded -- & number of PCI lanes.

Note that Smode is bad to reconnize on wich GPU it will works if they have the same model,
Two different GPU from AMD should be the best.
Else Primary output do the Jobs.

Note that on extreme case with many DVI adapter and some DVI grid, we encouter some issue with WX7100 Display Port alimentation.
Everything was solver by using WX8200. This may be a driver Issue...
