"No Class Expression" error

Whenever I try to open a saved project, I get an error that says "No Class Expression", followed by the program shutting down. Why might this be?

Hello @Shoggoth,

Do you mean a saved "compo"? (projects are something different that exist in Smode Station only)
This error message let me think at a compatibility loading issue. Did you save your compo with the same version of Smode as the one you are using to open it?
In all cases, best would be that you send us the compo file at support@smode.fr or upload it here, then we can have a look to see what's going on exactly.

Yes, I do mean a "compo". Yes, I am using the same version of Smode, and it happens with a brand new compo as well as ones I've worked on.

Never heard about this issue so far.
Do you mean that this scenario fails:
1) create a new compo
2) save the compo
3) reopen the compo

Or is there anything special to do?
Can you upload one of the concerned compos and specify the exact version which you can find in the about panel?

Hello Shoggoth,

I'm really sorry, I couldn't reproduce your "No Class Expression" issue. I tried both opening the compo you sent with the latest beta Smode version and with the public 8.1 version and in both cases, the compo opens perfectly fine without any error message.

So, I really have no idea of what's going on.

Two things you can try:

1) Fully reset your install of Smode by deleting all the content of the following directory:

C:\Users\%yourusername%\AppData\Roaming\Smode Studio

2) Try with the latest beta version (I send you the link by PM)
