Smode and Purrdata : Audio I/O stuck

Hello there,

I am currently working with PurrData and Smode at the same time. I use 2 microphones linked to a sound card to trigger some action in Smode (layer activation) and Arduino (on/off light).

The issue is : When I run my Purrdata sketch and Smode at the same time, it works well at the beginning, I receive OSC message from Pd and everything is fine.
But when I try to move something in Smode (like a layer or anything else), my Purrdata sketch stop working and I get this message in the Pd console : " error: audio I/O stuck... closing audio ".

(It's not a problem with Arduino, I get this issue without Arduino running)

I went to Smode preferences, trying to change the audio settings but nothing change...
I saw on the web that it was because those two software try to use the same audio system at the same time
Do you have any idea of how to solve it ?

Hello!
Are Smode and purrData listening to the same channels of your audio card?
I'm really not sure but i think that you need to route your audio signal from a dedicated app to Smode and Purrdata
I know that soundflower is great for those issues on mac, but didn't know equivalent on PC

I just switched my puredata audio channels from 2 to 3 and both software works perfectly together now !
